Many congratulations to the wonderful exhibition of members work put on at The Sudio, De La War Pavilion over the Bank Holiday weekend. The warm welcome extended to members of the public visiting the venue was greatly appreciated. The hard work involved in staging such a 4-day event often goes unappreciated and Bexhill as a town can only benefit from such exhibitions as this. Well done BAS. I am sure the amateur paintings on show had greater appeal to local residents than some of3a1 the professional artistic shows put on in the main part of the De La War !!

Delighted that Patricia enjoyed the exhibition, which was, indeed, excellent - but as a member I feel obliged to point out that it was held by the BAW (Bexhill Artists Workspace): the BAS (Bexhill Art Society) exhibition is not until June - also in the Studio at the DLWP. No doubt that show will also be worth a visit, and I hope the 500 or so who attended the BAW will make it back for the BAS.
