I attended the Bexhill Town Forum last night (open to all residents to give their views/find out what's 'in the pipeline' for Bexhill) and there was overwhelming support for a Bexhill Town Council. The next Forum 20th March, 6.30pm, DLWP, is going to be a 'Town Council Special', whereby we will realise the implications of a Town Council through 2 presentations. There will be a question and answer session. Hoping this meeting will be well supported! Rother Councillors will be there, but the Leader will most likely send his 'apologies' as is usual...

We recently spent a day in Bexhill and I must say what a beautiful place, what a differance to so many rundown resorts around the country, clean friendly, and to cap it all keen were doing some filming for a video i think and there lead singer was most obliging for some photos which made my wifes day.I could not believe the amount of free parking that was available,in all a very pleasing experiance. Bexhill - A Free Camping Site

Message for Counceller Williams
We have two large Motor homes with people living in them in Lionel Road - one street back from the beach (apparently for the winter). The owner of one has been contacted a rudely refuses to move. East Sussex DC say contact the Police, and the Police say contact ESDC!! A hopeless situation that is fully exploited by those wanting a free camp site anywhere where there are no parking lines. I understand from the Police that, unlike other nearby seaside towns, there are no bye-laws to prevent anyone sleeping in vehicles permanently on our streets, and therefore they are powerless.
I know you are aware of this problem and I and many of my neighbours urge you to do all you can to bring Bexhill at least into the 20th Century and get the protective bye-laws established.

Reading your last post Deryck, have you tried posting your question at "Ask the Leader" on the Rother District Council website
Re Brown Bin

On the 8th September I paid a cheque for £25.00 to receive a brown bin for garden waste for Laurel Bank Hastings Road, to date I have not received any information as to when we will receive one. The problem being the gardeners have no where to put garden waste other than the current dustbins and they have been warned we will have a problem, could someone please inform me when we are likely to receive the afore mentioned. Thank you.
