I have lived in Bexhill for most of my live and remember the 3 rocking horses in Egerton Park , with great joy. Also i was lucky enough to benefit from the swimming pool and cafe , which was fantastic .There was nothing wrong with with the play park , before this refurbishment.Did we get a say in this? I would have prefered the reintroduction of an open air swimming pool and cafe that would be an instant attraction, especially as the the Ravenside one is so awful and the prime location of Egerton Park.

As a child most of my weekends were spent in the park either in the paddle boats or the swimming pool which often had a line up many deep to get into, the rocking horses were fantastic, and all washed down with a nice drink in the cafe, i totally agree this is what bexhill needs again, don't waste money sticking busses on top of the delawar how about a new swimming pool in the park.

Daftest thing the council ever did was to close the Egerton Park 'pool. It brought the park alive, and to say that it was cheaper to build a new one virtually in St Leonard's, instead of repairing it, was clearly nonsense.
