Hi I am moving to Bexhill this summer with my 3 children and wondered if anyone could give me any information about life in Bexhill for me. I am moving from Hampshire and so it's a HUGE step. Children are 8, 12 & 15yrs.

Hello Nicky,
You have posed such a broad question that it's difficult to give a short and simple answer! But you must already know a little about Bexhill if you are moving there, so you probably realise that it is a very pleasant little town, a bit quiet for some but ideal for others.
There are always cultural events going on at the De le Ware Pavilion and No.48 Devonshire Road is a cafe daytime and a great venue for music etc. in the evenings. The pubs are a bit rough and ready but there is now a decent Wetherspoon pub in the old cinema - there is a splendid sun terrace up on the roof.
Your kids may well find Bexhill a bit quiet as they grow up but Hastings up the road (not so nicely manicured as Bexhill!) is full of great music venues for old and young and the Old Town is a fascinating area.
Also, you will be within easy reach of a really nice part of Sussex with interesting sights and historic places all around.
Lots more one could say but maybe someone else will fill you in with shops, schools etc.!

Thank you Tony for replying I really appreciate it. Yes was quite a broad question but just wanted ideas about nice places in the area that a resident would recommend to eat at or if they have children similar age what activities are available.
Thank you for answering my question and I am very much looking forward to exploring the area when we move in the summer.

Hi Nicky,
Just one or two more thoughts. There are several web sites which will give you an idea of what's going on in the area - despite their names, they cover a broader area than just Hastings (the first two sites especially):
Hastingsonlinetimes.co.uk - a very good news/events/comment site
Hastingsflyer.com - a good coverage of music/theatre/other events including the De le Ware Pavilion
1066online.com - not so hot on events but an excellent resource for tourist attractions, places to go, info about the area, also an informative Forum on a broad range of topics
I'm sure you can't wait for your move in the summer!
